Call for nominations for the NPRA awards: Asakawa Award, Blunden Impact Award, and H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol Award for Women
Nominations are requested for the NPRA awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of researchers working in academia/industry relevant to natural product sciences. The prerequisites for an individual award can be found on our award and promotions link of the website (www.npracademy.com/awards)
General Principles
- Each award is made to an individual of any nationality involved in natural products research.
- The award will be made in recognition of the candidate’s outstanding achievements in the natural products area, broadly defined to include analytical, medicinal, biological, pharmacological, biotechnological, nutritional, drug discovery, aroma chemicals, formulation, and related areas.
Nomination details
Proposals must be accompanied by:
- a resume or CV of the nominee
- a list of the candidate’s most significant publications (up to 10)
- a statement describing the candidate’s work and its importance (up to 3 pages)
- a short citation summarizing the candidate’s achievements (1-2 sentences)
The material will be confidentially forwarded to an independent selection committee. Self-nominations are permitted.
Scientific excellence, as stipulated in the General Principles, applies to all awards.

Terms and Conditions
- Each award will be made annually.
- Award winners will be chosen by the NPRA Board members who may be supported by other experts from the world scientific community, based on scientific quality and on the interest that the paper has met within the scientific community.
- The decision of the NPRA Board is final.
- The corresponding author (alternatively, any member of the group designated by the corresponding author) of each winning article will receive a certificate in the form of a printable PDF.
- Winning articles are automatically excluded from winning a future award.
