NPRA H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol Award for Women

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol is a well-known scientist for her contributions to science in social and economic development, and particularly to the chemistry of Thai medicinal plants, environmental health problems of developing countries and cancer research. She has received many distinctions, including UNESCO’s Einstein Gold Medal. In recognition of her distinguished services to the world scientific community, NPRA and NPI have created the “NPRA H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol Award for Women”. It is intended to be given to a female researcher (first or senior author), up to the age of 50 years, who has had a lasting impact through exceptional contributions to natural product science. This award recognizes notable research and outstanding contributions of a women scientist in science and technology of natural products. The recipient of the award will be highlighted on the NPRA website and be eligible for publishing articles without APC in NPRA journals as long as she is the first and/or corresponding author.

This award is open to the whole community of natural products researchers and to be an author of an article in a NPRA journal is not a prerequisite. However, the award winner is required to submit a detailed article in the awarded subject area for its publication, which will be published free of cost, along with the recipient’s photograph and biographical sketch. The award will be announced in the month of July (H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn’s birthday month) every year.
